Three ELA members - CEO Stephen J. Hirschfeld, Illinois member Bruce R. Alper, and Kansas/Western Missouri member Rosalee M. McNamara - were recently elected Fellows of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. They join 56 other distinguished labor and employment lawyers to comprise the Class of 2008.
Membership in the College is by invitation only, and honors those lawyers who have demonstrated to their peers, the bar, bench, and public through long performance related to the practice of labor and employment law that they represent:
- the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards;
- the highest level of character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership;
- a commitment to fostering and furthering the objectives of the College;
- sustained, exceptionally high-quality services to clients, bar, bench and public; and
- significant evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing and/or published writings on labor and employment law.
The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers is a non -profit professional association honoring the leading lawyers nationwide in the practice of labor and employment law. The Fellows of the College are dedicated to the study and enhancement of professional ethics in the practice of labor and employment law and to the improvement of the delivery and quality of labor and employment legal services.
Six other ELA members are among the list of current Fellows of the College: Leonard Court, Louis DiLorenzo, James Erwin, Phillip Jones, Sheldon Sandler, and Jeffrey Walker.
